COPPERHEADS ANNOUNCE LEAGUE AFFILIATION

The Professional Lacrosse League was announced this week and is a new pro indoor league that will start in mid September 2012, in four cities. In addition to the Charlotte Copperheads other teams will include the Jacksonville Bullies along with the Shamrocks and Haymakers both Pennsylvania based franchises.

ROGOWSKI SUITS UP IN RATTLERS OPENER

(Boston, MA) Charlotte Copperheads’ forward Greg Rogowski got the nod this past Saturday as the Rochester Rattlers traveled to Boston to take on the MLL Defending Champions in their season opener. Rochester jumped out to a quick 2 – 0 start but struggled to score from there on out. Rogowski ended the Rattlers’ scoring drought half way through the third quarter as he corralled a rebound off Cannons net-minder Jordan Burke and one timed it into the back of the net. Burke is the reigning MLL Championship MVP and finished the game with 17 saves. Boston won the game 15 – 3.
